We're closing in on the end of our dive and we hope this last 48 hours could be a flood of pledges.
We've unlocked 20 stretch goals together, hugely increasing the amount of gameplay content and production value in The Refuge: Terror from the Deep. Now, we have a few more cosmetic and art upgrades that will help make this already premium product even better.

Over 1000 Divers and counting!
We crossed an awesome milestone today — over 1000 backers have joined the dive and we still have our final push to go. Keep spreading the word about Terror from the Deep — we have some really fun things to show off in this final section of the campaign.
Kickstarter Exclusive Crossover Characters:
Every pledge comes with abilities for 6 Kickstarter exclusive crossover characters that are playable in both The Refuge: a race for survival and the competitive mode The Refuge: Terror from the Deep. Now that we've unlocked the crossover rules, Kindra and Hans, there are now 14 Characters playable in Terror from the Deep's competitive dive and in Race for Survival.
Today, I wanted to show off some of the amazing art we've gotten back for the Crossover Characters:

Dr Hans Krieger! Unlocked

That did not take long. We are super thrilled to have Dr Hans Krieger to be part of our nautical cast.
Hans Krieger: The Engineer
Age: 51
Origin: Germany / Denmark
German Jewish, Hans has felt the growing tensions in his homeland. As the Nazis continued their rise to power, Hans fled to his friend’s research facility in Denmark. An expert in marine technology, they must protect his knowledge to develop a new line of deep sea technology that will change the world. Rumor has it that that the wreck of UB-85 holds new, valuable materials for their research. Hans decides the only way to know is to see for himself.
Playstyle
Don't let this gun slinger fool you, because he is not one. Though he has a dart gun, his other skill set can cause real havoc on the field. Hans can build a contraption that can activate tiles twice. There are a few strategies with Hans; if you want to block players completely you may want to place the tiles on spawn spaces. If you want more control then you want to place tiles in the kraken row or the lair tile. Either way Hans is a well rounded character with abilities good for both competitive and cooperative!
Also, for those who were wondering why our stretch goal for Hans was so odd: $65,127, it was because it was one of our milestones. We just past our highest funded game on Kickstarter which was Destiny Aurora back in 2016 which funded for $65,127.

There are only 8 days left to back the campaign — and we've already unlocked so many amazing stretch goals together. Thanks from all the B&B team.
A while back, we unlocked a new backer suggested Cooperative Objective. Thanks so much to everyone who has submitted suggestions so far. This is the FINAL CALL for submissions of epic underwater moments you want to see in your game, such as "Get devoured by the Kraken and cut your way out from the inside" or "Rescue the stranded diver"! Next update, we'll be putting a shortlist out to backers for a vote.

The Refuge: Terror from the Deep swims through 50K

Over 750 backers have dove in with us so far – and growing every day.
We've been really happy with the reception to the game from players and reviewers at Origins Game Fair this week – look out for upcoming articles and videos as they are released!

50K in funding and 12 stretch goals are already unlocked!
Now, we'll split the miniatures insert trays into multiple parts, allowing you to have a separate tentacle tray to use as a supply during the game.
When we built our reviewer prototypes, we had a chance to try out some standup tokens cut by The Game Crafter – we liked the way they looked in prototype form and are really excited to be adding these to the game.

I also wanted to quickly remind everyone that they can add a Refuge Playmat to their order by increasing their pledge. These mats are going to be EPIC.
